A stunning portfolio of sepia-tinted images of African landscapes has won Canadian photographer Lorne Resnick a top international accolade. On hearing that he had won the Travel Photographer of the Year competition, Resnick said: “I’m really thrilled.
I assess any contest’s importance by the level of competition and the
standard of the previous winning entries. I was very impressed by the
past winners’ work ‐ the quality was extremely high. Travel and
photography, for me, are so inexorably linked and have been for so
long, that this recognition means a great deal to me.”
Keen photographers wishing to take part in this year’s competition,
TPOTY 2006, can find entry details on www.tpoty.com. It’s open to both
