Business: We began with two camps, two guides, an early knowledge of the internet and an intense love of the bush. Our first office was on top of a mountain overlooking the Zambezi Valley.
We’ve since moved our main office to Devon, England, but kept our consulting offices in Africa. Working with a close-knit team of experienced African guides and safari consultants, we now arrange specialised trips throughout West, Central, East and southern Africa. What we miss about Africa: The sound of crickets, the smell of rain on dry grass, the smoke from wood and… if we went on, we’d fill this magazine. Favourite place: On our backs looking into the endless sky without a soul in sight. Biggest misperception of Africa: There’s so much more depth to Africa than luxury safaris, wildlife documentaries and glossy brochures. I never travel without: A torch and a book.
