I recently bought your magazine for a friend of mine who is currently serving in Afghanistan. I’d not seen it before, but think it will suit him as he’s spent many years in Africa either working or enjoying holidays.
After briefly flipping through his copy, I actually decided I needed to pick up a copy for myself as well. Your Photoschool feature is closest to my heart as I’m a keen amateur photographer – I’ve attached an image I recently took while in Kenya on exercise. Captured from atop a vehicle, it’s nothing out the ordinary, but I can’t forget the surprised look on the giraffe’s face when saw me at eye level!
Whilst my friend is taking his post-tour leave in South Africa I will be deploying to Afghanistan – I hope he returns the favour and sends me a copy of Travel Africa or two!
