Business: Karibu Safari Namibia has been organising discovery tours in
southern Africa for the past 28 years. Our passion is mobile camping and
luxury mobile camping safaris.
What inspired you to start in the business? I developed a passion for nature while growing up in Namibia. After starting small geology tours through Damaraland, I realised my dream of becoming a safari guide. Through hard work, love and passion for people and nature I had the opportunity to buy Karibu Safari Namibia. I took it with both hands and can now truly say that my dreams came true.
Most Memorable occasion in Africa: We came across a breeding herd of elephants on a night drive in South Luangwa. They were all lying down sleeping, an absolutely amazing site to see these giants of Africa at peace.
Most extraordinary place in Africa: As a Namibian I have to say the Cunene Region (Kaokoland). It’s a place of solitude and unspoilt wilderness, where time stands still and you can almost feel and hear Mother Nature still working.
